Cheese Manufacturer Wastewater Treatment Plant
Cheese Manufacturer Wastewater Treatment Plant

Situation

The company that is at the forefront of the sector is a group of companies that transform traditional cheese into an innovative concept. The need to order diffusers made of deformed EPDM material in the treatment facility of the company's factory in Çorlu / Tekirdağ campus arose.

Arpon Solution

There is a serious aggressiveness and variability in the water coming in the waste water. Caustic and nitric acid used in cleaning hygienic systems have a large share in this. At the same time, the fatty acids formed by cheese and its derivatives cause the EPDM material of the diffusers used in the aeration pool and pre-balancing pool to deform and explode very quickly. The coating of other cheese wastes on the diffuser surface also prevents the oxygen transfer of the diffuser in the background. As another result of production, blower energy consumption increases significantly.

It was observed that the problems were resolved after the use of SSI Brand PTFE (Teflon) coated 9 "diffusers installed in September 2016.

Result

As a natural result of these articles, there has been savings in a very short energy consumption. While 2 blowers of only 120 SSI PTFE diffusers previously met the oxygen need of 2x11 kW in the system, now only 1 Blower is sufficient. For the oxygen need of 1 m3 / h, 7.4 kWh was previously consumed and 3.4 kWh electricity is consumed.

Borghetto Santo Spirito Waste Water Treatment Plant
Borghetto Santo Spirito Waste Water Treatment Plant

Situation

The Borghetto Santo Spirito waste water treatment facility collects some 30,000 cubic meters of waste water a day from 90,000 homes near the famous seaside resort on the Ligurian coast. The facility is known for its cutting-edge waste water treatment technology and its perfect integration into the environment. As part of a pilot project of the European Community, the waste water treatment facility aims at achieving energy self-sufficiency but also at generating renewable energy to be supplied back to the grid. The local water cycle manager Servizi Ambientali S.p.A. called us to select the electric pumps needed to lift and boost the domestic waste water from collection station at zero level to the treatment plant located at about 60 meters above sea level. The main requirement was simple: energy efficiency.

Solution

Zenit Group technicians studied the best solution for lifting and boosting waste water in a plant in which the prerogative was energy efficiency. The high-efficiency Premium (IE3) UNIQA Series was the natural choice. In particular, they chose a Zenit UNIQA 160kW DRY channel model. UNIQA electric pumps are designed for heavy-duty professional use. This makes them perfect for conveying waste water containing solid matter. The UNIQA electric pumps are all equipped with independent hydraulic circuit cooling jacket, which allows continuous operation in S1 Service conditions even when they are partially immersed or even totally uncovered.

Benefits

The energy efficiency of the Borghetto Santo Spirito waste water treatment facility was increased by installing UNIQA pumps. The main characteristic of the UNIQA range is being always designed on the basis of the performance specifications required by the customer. Each model is equipped with a unique combination of motor and hydraulics to achieve optimal working point performance, low energy consumption and high reliability by using the materials most suited for the application type. The local integrated water cycle managers are very satisfied by the performance of the UNIQA Series pumps and the benefits of efficient water cycle management for citizens and the surrounding environment.

Polyester Plant
Polyester Plant

Situation

There is a problem in the chemical dosing system in which a plant producing polyester is used in sheet production.

The flow rate cannot be adjusted precisely with the pumps they use, so the product is manufactured defective.

Arpon Solution

Arpon's experienced engineers visited the company and recomended that the VERDERFLEX brand VANTAGE 5000 series digitally controlled hose pumps. With this product, the problem is eliminated by dosing with the desired precision and adjustment from the automation depending on the production recipes.
