How Do Twin Screw Pumps Work?

The twin screw pump is a positive displacement pump that transfers a certain volume of product depending on the screw speed and pitch. As the screw system rotates, closed chambers are formed and these chambers move axially. This movement creates a vacuum on the inlet side and a pressure on the outlet side. Thanks to this double chambered technique, almost vibration-free operation is achieved in high and low viscosity products.
