Disc Type Diffusers

Disc and tube type diffusers increase the amount of dissolved oxygen in wastewater by introducing compressed air into the wastewater in the form of fine or coarse bubbles in diffused aeration systems. Fine-bubble diffusers are preferred in biological treatment processes due to their high oxygen transfer efficiency, while coarse-bubble diffusers maintain suspended sediments with a stronger mixing effect. This accelerates the breakdown of biological solids in the wastewater by bacteria, increases treatment efficiency, and contributes to the removal of taste, odor, and undesirable compounds.
