Thanks to its well-designed pump geometry, a smooth and damage-free flow is ensured without compromising hygiene, durability, and reliability.

Packo pumps comply with the European Food Safety Directive 1935/2004 EC . This ensures the complete food safety of your production process.

Typical Application Areas

Packo pumps are widely used in the destoning, washing, chopping, pumping, and blanching processes of vegetables and potatoes.
We also offer specialized solutions for CIP (clean-in-place) applications and wastewater treatment systems .

Pumps for Stone Separation, Washing and Chopping Lines

The fluids pumped in these processes often contain vegetable and fiber residues, sand, and clay particles . These particles can have an abrasive effect on the pump surface.

Therefore, Packo offers a specially coated seal chamber design to extend pump life in such applications.
This design significantly increases the service life of the pump.
In addition, vortex impeller pumps are often preferred to prevent the risk of clogging.

All Packo pump series are certified according to EC 1935/2004 — ensuring food safety at all times.

Pumps for Blanching Lines and Product Transfer

Vegetables are transported via conveyor belts or hydraulic transport systems through several stages from their arrival at the facility.
Minimizing product damage is critical in this process.

Developed for this purpose, the Packo VPCP Series reduces product damage by up to 50% compared to similar pumps on the market thanks to its specially designed vane structure, wide body, and large passage area.

Vegetable blanching processes involve challenging conditions such as high temperatures (near boiling point) and low water levels.
Packo pumps minimize the risk of cavitation thanks to their very low NPSH value and offer high efficiency and low energy consumption .

All pumps in this series also comply with the 1935/2004 EC directive .
