Steam Generator Water Supply Pump

A steam generator consists of the following sections: main body (flue pipe), coil (pressure shell), burner, electrical control panel, feedwater pump, separator, condensate tank, and chimney.

Generally, the serpentine coil consists of two interlocking spirals. The inlet and outlet points of the spiral are located on the front cover. Water, treated by the water softener and made ready for use in the condensate tank, is pumped into the serpentine coil inlet via feedwater pumps. When the burner is activated, the water inside the serpentine coil rapidly evaporates and moves towards the outlet, where it is directed to the process via the main steam valve after pressure and temperature controls are performed.

The Powerful Solution for Uninterrupted Water Supply: Hydra-Cell

One of the critical aspects for steam generators is ensuring an uninterrupted supply of feedwater to meet the system's needs. Hydra-Cell feedwater pumps, capable of maintaining a constant water flow rate under varying pressure conditions, offer a perfect solution for this process thanks to their unique design.

Hydra-Cell are high-pressure hydraulic diaphragm pumps with seal-less pump technology. They are specifically designed for demanding processes in industrial plants where even the shortest downtime is undesirable.

The advantages offered by Hydra-Cell pumps are as follows:

  • Seal-less Design: Thanks to its special diaphragm structure that ensures a leak-proof seal, there is no need for a packing gland.
  • Dry Running Capability: Unlike piston-type pumps, thanks to its diaphragm design, this pump can run dry and handle solid particles up to 800 microns without any problems.
  • Long-lasting performance: Patented hydraulic components operate in oil, providing years of durability without succumbing to wear.
  • Low Maintenance and Operating Costs: Unlike piston pumps, maintenance can be performed cost-effectively by simply replacing the diaphragm and check valve assembly.
  • High Temperature Resistance: Provides resistance up to 121˚C in metallic bodies.

Hydra-Cell technology, with its heavy-duty pumps, guarantees an uninterrupted water supply to steam generators, increasing system reliability and efficiency.
