Desmi Suction Injector

Designed for mounting on non-self-priming centrifugal pumps.

The DESMI suction injector is designed to be mounted on non-self-priming centrifugal pumps, thereby making the pump unit self-priming. For the unit to function correctly, the discharge line must be closed—this is usually achieved using a check valve (one-way valve).

Pressurized air is passed through the ejector, creating a vacuum in the pump housing and suction line. Once priming (filling of the suction line) is complete, the pump builds up pressure in the discharge line, which activates the pressure switch. The pressure switch automatically stops the priming process by cutting off the electricity to the solenoid valves.
