WANNER™ Hydra-Cell® Safety Valves

In bypass systems, Hydra-Cell regulating valves automatically open to relieve pressure in the pipeline in the event of sudden, unwanted overpressure, and return to their original position once the system has drained and the pressure has returned to its previous value.

In multiple spray applications, these valves help balance the system.

The design consists of a pointed conical thrust shaft and valve seat. If the system pressure exceeds the normal operating pressure, a spring on the thrust shaft separates it from the seat, diverting the flow to the bypass side and reducing the system pressure. Thanks to a special baffle on the other side of the shaft inside the valve, the fluid is discharged without directly contacting or damaging the internal parts. Access to the internal parts and maintenance can be achieved by opening the top of the body; worn parts can be replaced quickly and easily, and these operations can be performed in the field without removing the valves.
